LESI Virtual Annual Conference 2021

The theme for this year’s meeting is “Maximizing the Value of Innovation in an Era of Convergence.” Sessions will look at where the most important innovation is occurring and highlight -- through speakers and case studies -- some of those responsible for and leading this innovation.

As disruptive technologies challenge our existing markets and licensing models, opportunities are created for new, innovate products and solutions to meet the needs of the marketplace and our society. This is happening in nearly every area of technology and around the globe -- and this trend has only accelerated as a result of the recent global pandemic. Thus, maximizing the impact and value of these innovations is at the core of what LESI members bring to any negotiating table, any partnership and any new endeavor. “Convergence” represents well the changing (even more global) marketplace, technologies that blur the lines between traditional categories or art groups and the opportunities that are produced when professionals gather around a table to agree to invest in and develop new technologies.

This year we will focus on technologies and industries converging to create new products, new markets and new licensing models:

· How the automotive industry is converging with the communications industry,

· How the healthcare industry is converging with artificial intelligence, and

· How the pandemic is accelerating this convergence and change
