Andre Gorius spearheads IP Valuation Training for the AANR Sector

The Licensing Executives Society Philippines (LES Philippines), together with the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) and the Association of PAQE Professionals, Inc. (APP), will conduct an Intellectual Property Valuation Training from 1 March until 3 March 2023 at the Acacia Hotel, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) international consultant, Dr. Andre Gorius of LES France, will be the sole resource speaker for the 3-day training. Dr. Gorius worked with Paris-based valuation firm, Winnotek. He was co-chair of LES International's IP Valuation, Sustainable Development Goals-Intellectual Property Index (SDG-IP), and Innovation Trends (LIT) Committees.

In September 2022, LES Philippines invited Dr. Gorius to DOST-PCAARRD's Regional Agri-Aqua Innovation System Enhancement (RAISE) Program for a 3-hour International Licensing and Valuation webinar. This year, LES Philippines and APP collaborated with DOST-PCAARRD to further enhance the IP valuation skills of technology business incubators established by said agency for the country's agri-aqua network by hosting Dr. Gorius.

This initiative by LES Philippines aligns with its advocacy to expand the market reach of technologies and startups of local TBIs to other jurisdictions.

Licensing and valuation practitioners from law and IP firms are also expected to attend the IP valuation training.
